Beco Baby Carrier

We are so excited about this contest! We enjoy hosting giveaways, and babywearing, and shopping at Along For the Ride. What a great opportunity to share all three with our readers!

Babywearing allows mom to have hands free and helps baby feel secure and loved. Studies show that babies who are worn cry less and are more verbal.

One of the best selling carriers at Along for the Ride is the Beco Baby Carrier–they can barely keep them in stock. The Beco is a soft structured carrier–providing the confidence of buckles and the ergonomic comfort of a flexible body. Chic fabric choices, ease of use, and convenience make the Beco Baby Carrier a stand out choice. (click here for our full review of the Beco)

Along For the Ride is offering one lucky Mamanista reader a Beco Baby Carrier in his or her choice of the available styles at Along for the Ride. Or, since every parent has a different babywearing style, you can accept a gift certificate of equal value ($130).

WIN IT: Click HERE to visit Along For the Ride and then leave a comment** on this post by February 1, 8pm EST, letting us know which is your favorite type and style of baby carrier from Along for the Ride and (briefly) why. You’ll be entered to win a Beco Carrier (with free shipping in the US) or a Gift Certificate of equal value ($130). International readers should check to see if Along for the Ride ships to their country.

** When you comment, make sure to leave a URL or e-mail where we can reach you. Or, use a nickname and THEN shoot us an e-mail to tell us your nickname (make sure to leave the comment first).

WANT IT: Purchase your Beco or other baby carriers at Along For the Ride and use coupon code “CONTEST” for 10% off any order (expires February 8). After February 8, use coupon code “MAMANISTA” for $5 off your order of $40.00 or more (no expiration). Shipping is FREE on orders over $75.

WIN MORE: This contest is part of the fabulous Bloggy Giveaways Carnival. Head on over there to find more contests but remember to leave your comment on this post to enter for your chance to win a Beco Baby Carrier or Gift Certificate from Along for the Ride. Also, don’t miss our other two current contests for toddler shoes:

oops, I should read all the instructions before I type.
My daughter was born 11 days ago so I don’t know what kind of baby carrier I like! I have one of the hot slings but it doesn’t seem to quite fit me or my baby. The Beco looks just lovely and I like that it’s a soft back carrier.

  • suburban ecomom said:

I have the ergo carrier, but I would absolutely love to try the Beco!

I have always wanted the ellaroo ring sling or any of the mei tais! Such cute baby carriers!

i would love to try a beco. i’ve never worn one, but they look so comfortable so i’m going to say that’s my favorite. i like the lenka print.
    what a fabulous giveaway! :)

  • heather h said:

I’d love to try a Mei Tei. I have tried pouch and ring slings, but she’s getting too big. I think I’d like Mei Tai because it looks like bigger kids do well in them. She’s not that big, but she is growing, and back would benefit from having the weight dispersed over both shoulders.

  • Colleen said:

I think I’d have to say the Beco Baby Carrier (BecoPack). It looks like the the only carrier I see with the adjustable buckles rather than having to tie the carrier on. The clips seem so much easier to me than having to tie and wrap.

With a toddler already here and a baby on the way… I’m sure the new baby will be getting “worn” quite a lot!

  • sara said:

I haven’t worn my baby yet, but the Beco sounds great! Thanks for such a generous giveaway!

  • Tammy and Parker said:

I would love to have a Becco.

I am the Mom to a medically fragile little boy with special needs. Our carrier has been a life saver.

With our little guy being so sick, he has yet learned to walk. Being able to wear him makes getting around so much easier.

And when a child is sick so often being worn close to Mom is comforting…..to both of us.

Thank you for the opportunity to win one of these carriers.

i’ve been trying to get into babywearing, but i only have a pouch sling right now, and my 3 month old does NOT enjoy being snuggled in it, so i’m afraid i have to wait til he’s got better head control to try the pouch again. the becos look great for us tho, and easy for people like me to figure out! :)

Thanks for hosting this great giveaway!

I already have an Ergo, but I’m dying to try a Beco, or a Kozy Carrier Mei Tai. My almost-two-year-old is already 35.5 inches and 30 lbs, so I have gravitated toward two-shoulder carriers because I love the way they make even long carries comfortable by distributing his weight.

Thanks for hosting this giveaway – how exciting! I’d love to win!

  • lace said:

I have been looking into the Beco for a while now. I just haven’t been able to justify the price when I have a perfectly good mei tai. I just would love something easier to use than the mei tai.

The Beco looks amazingly simple. No tying! and very comfortable looking. I think my favorite print is the avocado feathers.

I am so excited about this giveaway. I have never seen anyone give away a Beco!!!

  • Random Steph said:

I currently love my ERGO. It makes doing anything with my goober MUCH easier. I love that I can put it on my front or my back. I love that my hubby can loosen the straps and wear my goober too! I only wish they had the organic Ergo’s when I bought mine. I don’t know if I would like the Beco better, I’ve never had a chance to try it. But I would love to give it a shot. I’ve heard wonderful things…..

  • bren j. said:

What a neat carrier! And awesome fabric too!

  • Christine said:

I have a ring carrier, but I really like the Beco (in any pattern really) – sorry that’s not much help…but my little boy doesn’t like the sling, and our backpack carrier is really heavy. I would love to win the Beco, and take him every where in it.

  • Heidi @ GGIP said:

I have been fascinated by Mei Tai’s ever since I first heard about baby-wearing. I’m expecting my first child in April and would love to be able to wear him round and about, and the Mei Tai’s seem to me like they’d give me the most versatile and long-lasting option for my first forays into baby-wearing.

So, my favorite carriers on the site are the Kozy Mei Tai’s (particularly the Urbanna and Stony Creek prints), and the Solarveil Turquoise Mei Tai (we live in Arizona, and we’re taking baby with us to Hawaii in August).

Sorry if my comment’s not brief enough. :)

I NEED hands-free almost all the time to take care of toddler and wearing helps with the colicy infant– but I have a bad back and my baby is huge! (Almost 15 pounds at 10 weeks!) My friend says the Ergo is the most supportive and balances the weight nicely across the back. Sorry so long! Thanks!

So many neat choices! I think I’d like to try either the Beco in Cocoa Butterfly or the ZoloWear Cotton Ring Sling Judy.

    Thanks for a great giveaway!

My fav.type/style of carrier from the Along for the Ride site is the Ergo because they boast it’s ergonomic design to correctly support baby and mommy both. They say it ‘alleviates physical stress for the parent’……now that is a miracle in itself.
The Beco seems to have a similar design too, and I would love the chance to own either of these carriers. I have been wanting a carrier, but have not had the means. Winning would be a huge blessing. Thanks for the entry.

As a new dad, I would like to try anything that will fit me. The pack carriers, like the beco, look like the distribute the weight of the baby best and may be most comfortable. We would like the chance to try out the Beco. Thanks for the entry.

Wow…I have a sling and a 25 lb angel and an aching back.;)

I think the Beco Baby Carrier – Ella
would really be a wonderful carrier. It is beautiful and looks like the weight would be balanced and yet still have the benefits of babywearing!

    Thanks!!

    Thanks for the Bloggy Contest!

We don’t have a baby yet, but are trying. My DH has 2 older daughters. We are also considering adoption/fostering.

I like the Beco that is black with pink and green. I could not find the name of the pattern :-(

I love the Moby. Its so versitile, both in positions and other uses. I think there are about 8 different holds that you can use. Also, you can use it as a blanket or changing pad in a pinch.

However, I think the Beco would be better to use as a back carrier than the Moby.

I would love the Mei Tais. We are adopting our daugther internationally and this would come in so handy for our international traveling to bring her home.

My absolute favorite from the “Along for the Ride” website is the BabyHawk Mei Tai Surf & Sand Paisley on Caramel – with HEADREST. The fabric is gorgeous and I really like the construction of the carrier because it seems to distribute the weight better than some of the others.

The ERGO Baby Carrier in black with green lining is wonderful. It would be fantastic for my little one.

I would just love the Beco carrier in Avacado Feathers. I’ve just discovered how much I love soft structured/buckle carriers and I’m dying to try another.

I would love to get a gift card and try out one or two of those! The Beco looks wonderful–a lot like the carrier I have now (with stomach strap and ability to go front or back), but a lot more comfortable (the straps dig in to my shoulders). My current carrier leaves me with a sore back after a while, so I’d love something to improve on that!

I’m also very interested in Mobi wraps (I’ve had a number of friends recommend them), and the Sachi Carriers with the solarveil material would be wonderful since we just moved to a hot, humid climate.

The ERGO carrier also has a pull by describing how it helps the baby’s posture; the Kozy carrier with the fact that pregnant moms can use it, too; the Mama’s milk for allowing discreet nursing (VERY GOOD!) and natural fetal positions of infants.

Basically, there are a lot that look good to me–I’d need a little more time to decide what would be best. :)

After having five kids and trying out every single carrier there was there is suddenly something on the market that looks awesome. The Beco looks comfortable AND stylish! I’m too old for kids now but my oldest daughter is expecting and I’m sure she’d love one.

I have a 7 week old and have tried the Storchenwege wrap and the ring sling. My daughter screamed every time I put her in the wrap so I tried the ring sling from Along for the Ride and lo and behold, she loved it! I like letting my daughter tell me what she likes, and I really think she’d love to try the Beco! Since she’s a princess I think she’d really go wild over those stylish fabrics!

My son loves to be held and well it seems impossible all the time. I would love to try the Beco Baby Carrier 4th Generation because it will give him the closeness he desires. I also nurse him. I am hoping it would make it easier than having to run to the nursing room or the closest store dressing room. I feel bad for my 7 year old that gets suck with me. Winning this would make three people happy, myself, my daughter, and son. Hope we win.

I love the Babyhawks. My daughter is 11 months old and loves to be in hers. It is also very comfortable to wear. I’d love to try out the Beco. The fabric choices are great.

Out of the carriers I have used- I have to say that my favorite is the ergo carrier. It is so comfortable and takes all the strain off of my back when carrying around my daughter. Without it, i dont know how i would ever get anything done around my house- since my daughter cries whenever she is put down. I really want to try a Beco. I have heard wonderful things about them but funds are limited as a stay at home mom. on_eagleswings(@)live(.)com
