Ready to Roll

mommyhook_package.jpgShopping with baby can be more of a chore than a pleasure. While you might be able to use a sling for a quick trip to the mall, an extended shopping trip probably requires a stroller. The next time you are frustrated at the inconvenience of maneouvering baby’s stroller through closely-spaced racks of clothes and the difficulty of finding a working elevator take a deep breath and try to remember the biggest benefit of stroller shopping: at least you don’t have to carry your shopping bags.

A stroller hanger is an indispensable mom accessory, but finding the right one can be a challenge. First, I tried the plastic Kel-Gar Stroll’r Swivel’rs ($4.99) sold at www.babiesrus.com. They worked fine with light shopping bags, but they broke when I tried to hang my diaper bag.  Next, I purchased matching stroller valet clips ($18 at www.petuniapicklebottom.com) for my Petunia Picklebottom Diaper Bag. While the valet clips were perfect for my diaper bag, I wasn’t able to use them to carry anything else.

Finally, I discovered The Mommy Hook ($7.99 at www.keendistribution.com and Amazon.com). This sturdy stroller hanger is made of durable heavy-duty aluminum, not plastic. The Mommy Hook  can hold diaper bags, shopping bags and even heavy groceries without breaking.  The Mommy Hook fits a wide variety of strollers, and the rubber handle keeps it from sliding around. You can even use it to carry bags from your car to your home.
