Dishwasher Safe, Washing Machine Safe, Kid Safe Mabel’s Labels

Posted by Candace on Aug 12, 2008 | 146 Comments

There’s a lot that gets stuck to kids, food, mud, random strays, but unfortunately one thing that never seems to stick is the name labels you attach to their stuff.

Mabel’s Labels is here to rescue you and your child’s gear from the lost and found.

Mabel’s Labels have cute icons, are available in a variety of colors, and come in money-saving packs.  The real attraction, though, is these dishwasher-safe and machine washable labels actually work–on clothing, sippy cups, bottles, lunchboxes, school supplies, and pretty much anywhere you can think to stick them.  There are clothing iron on and stick on shoe labels and household labels and more.

You can machine-wash these labels and run them through the dishwasher and they will still be there, proclaiming your child’s ownership of the item to the world.

That’s why this Canadian-based company is quickly becoming a daycare and school gotta-have for parents all across North America.

So, drop the engraving tool and discover the easiest way to label your kid’s school and camp supplies, with Mabel’s Labels.

WIN IT: Mabel’s Labels wants to offer the Ultimate Back to School Combo (ARV $39.00), which is Dishwasher/microwave/laundry-safe and UV resistant. Just leave us a comment by August 27, 11:59 PM EST, letting us know which color and icon combination you would choose and how you will use the labels if you win. Shipping US + Canada.

I think I would get them in Juicy Citrus, with a butterfly. I’m sending the 5 yr old off to kindergarten this fall, and I can only imagine what we are about to lose!

  • grubmama said:

I would love these for my ds. I would most likely get the pack in black with the spider icon. My son loves Spidey these days.

  • Alexandra Hancock said:

The Pack in Black would be fantastic. Lucian is our little pirate and his daddy is a rock star so it would fit perfect. I’d use these to label Lucian’s sippy cups and what not when we go out for play-dates and to the playground. All those baby things look the same and this way no one will accidentally snatch ours or us snatch theirs. :)

I am really sick of labeling every item of clothing and others that my son brings to kindergarten. What am I going to do when my twins start school? Hopefully win some Mabels Labels, otherwise I’ll have to buy some or risk my sanity. The ultimate back to school combo is awesome. I would probably pick the lizzie icon with true blue for my son and princess with true pink for my daughter or I can just get no icon, true citrus and put our name and number on it which doubles as a lost child label.

I am a regular of the mabels labels. I got them for both daughters last year and actually had a pacifier returned to me that was left at the park ( I boiled it for like ten minutes though) and it even withstood the boiling water!
I put them on their expensive sigg cups, favorite stuffed animal and blankets, and their outdoor toys we take places like the wagon, the skooter and the tupperware we use for their lunches (trying to go green and not use plastic baggies.) It is nice having the special tupperware come back from school and when we goto parties and bring a dish, we label it with the family label and it always gets returned!

i would TOTALLY love to give my pirate girl the skull icon in the Pack in Black since last year i got her the butterfly in the Tickled pink!

  • Karla T said:

my two-year old is the first grandchild on both my husband and my side of the family. he has tons of clothing, but we (my husband)seem to leave pieces at school, church, basically anywhere. the iron-on tag would be perfect for us. it would at least give us a chance at getting them back with his name on it. he likes froggies, so that would be perfect!
