Holiday Countdown Fun

Posted by Debbie on Dec 4, 2008 | Comment

We all have holiday traditions. For the second year in a row, Candace and I have been getting into the spirit of the season on Mamanista with our 12 Days of Giveaways. At home, we’ve both been counting down the days until Santa’s arrival with our The Story of Christmas Advent Calendars.

This book and advent calendar combo features 24 miniature board books nestled in a three-paneled, stand-alone backer. The books, which tell the story of the first Christmas, are meant to be opened one a day from December 1 through Christmas Eve and then hung on your Christmas tree.

Candace’s little girl looks forward to hearing the story every day and hanging the mini-book on the family Christmas tree. My baby is too young to understand, but I plan to make reading from this advent calendar one of our holiday traditions. It’s such a great way to remind kids that Christmas is about more than just presents.

WANT IT: The Story of Christmas is available for $10.95 at Amazon and at many local bookstores.
