Bedtime can be quality time rather than battle time. By establishing a consistent routine, you can make bedtime more enjoyable for the whole family.

Haydenburri Lane’s Bedtime Safari products were designed in conjunction with child development specialists to help children learn the necessary skills and activities needed to get ready for bed.

Haydenburri Lane provides advice to parents on how to establish a positive bedtime routine and why routines are important. (Click here to read their Parents’ Guide.)  And they offer a series of board books for preschoolers that make learning routines fun. There are five main characters- Bubbles the Hippo, P.J. the Bear, Chomper the Crocodile, Paige the elephant, and Rory the tiger. Each character stars in a board book and teaches a different skill.

We received a Carry Me Everywhere Suitcase from Haydenburri Lane. It’s a mini-suitcase filled with five finger puppets, a soft fleece/satin blanket and the Bedtime Safari book starring all five characters.

After a stressful day at work, I look forward to my son’s nightly bedtime routine: bathtime, putting on pjs, brushing teeth, storytime and goodnight kisses. Bedtime is peaceful and relaxing for both of us.  Several of my friends had regular bedtime battles before they discovered a bedtime routine that worked for their preschoolers. And I benefitted from their experience since they advised me to establish a routine and healthy sleep habits as early as possible.

If you need to establish a positive bedtime routine, reading Bedtime Safari and the parents’ guide will help. You can buy the Carry Me Everywhere Suitcase for $29.99 or get the five finger puppets and the board book for $19.99 at www.haydenburrilane.com.

What an excellent idea this was! These sorts of fun learning/training are just what most parents need when it comes to teaching their child how. Thanks very much for sharing with us :)
