I’m Charmed

daypendantdaykeychainFor Mother’s Day, I received a beautiful charm from Not Just Any Old Day. The solid sterling silver calendar charm is marked with a clear Swarovski crystal for my son’s April birthday. You can select from 12 different birthstones to customize your charm.

The pictures don’t really do this charm justice.  Each charm is customized by the designer and then hand-antiqued, which gives the finished piece more of an heirloom quality rather than a cookie-cutter look. The Fleur De Lis gives the calendar charm a feminine touch.

The charm sells for $98 at www.notjustanyoldday.com.  It would make a charming addition to an existing charm bracelet or look great as a pendant necklace. If you’re buying the charm as a gift, I’d recommend purchasing it on a silver keyring ($110) or on a chunky silver bracelet or necklace (prices starting at $166). The silver bracelets and chunky necklaces have a similar style to the popular Tiffany bracelets and silver necklaces.

I think of my son whenever I wear my charm, and I’ve received many complements on the piece from other moms. If you’re looking for a unique present for a wedding shower or for a mom, I would definitely recommend Not Just Any Old Day. It would be a sweet and sentimental present from a groom to his new bride on their wedding day, a husband to a wife on their anniversary, or a father to a mother on their child’s birthday.

If you’re looking for a unique heirloom-quality gift for a baby, Not Just Any Old Day also makes baby gifts adorned with their signature calendar charm. You can pick from a sterling silver spoon ($200), baby cup ($292), rattle ($240)  or picture frame ($271).
