Moccasins for Your Papoose
What if you combined a soft leather bootie with a fun knit sock? You’d get Nowali, the moccasin that comes in sizes from infant to toddler to big kid to even adult.
Barefoot is best for babies, but sometimes little feet need extra protection, warmth, or traction or mom just wants to add a shoe to make a cute special occasion outfit look just right. Nowali solves your baby shoe needs comfortably and looks adorable, too.
Nowali sent my little crawler a pair of baby moccasins in the blue stripe style. The bottom part of the moccasin is a soft leather bootie flexible enough to allow those tiny feet to grow and the suede sole provides traction to keep toddlers and older kids from sliding over tile and wood floors.
We’ve tried several other slipper socks with gripper bottoms for traction but they usually end up peeling off eventually in the wash. The suede soles of Nowali moccasins are a more effective alternative.
The top of the moccasin is a knit sock, available in a variety of patterns, that is attached to the leather bootie with decorative stitching. With elastic at the around the top of the sock and at the ankle, Nowali moccasins really stay put during crawling, walking, and running.
With leather elastic booties, my son often has bright red marks on his chubby little baby ankles where the elastic dug in and chafed. I had to stop using one brand because my normally happy baby would cry when I tried to put them one. Wearing Nowali moccasins, he only has some faint sock marks from the elastic. And you can see from the photograph that he’s happy to model the moccasins.
I’m actually so fond of these I think my daughter may get a pair for Christmas. This comfortable shoe that stays on babies, provides traction for early walkers, and looks stylish, too.
