The wheels are smooth, so the truck can reach a fast speed on our kitchen floor. (My previous attempt at purchasing a wooden car at a craft fair ended in failure as the car couldn’t roll quickly enough to entertain my son.)

For the holidays, I am purchasing the exclusive Rosie Hippo Racing Team Truck pictured here.  (It’s currently on sale for $38.) My son will love this truck since it has two formula one racers that ride on the back. It is made from responsibly harvested, unfinished, maple wood right here in the USA. I am confident it will be one of his favorites, and the quality materials make it heirloom-quality. When I purchase toys, I try to buy things that will last for many years and that could be passed lovingly onto another child still looking new.

    I loved the wheeled dinosaurs and the construction vehicles. Sorry I just couldn’t choose! I could just picture my son and I racing the dinosaurs across the floor and that makes it a little more fun than you usual race car. The construction vehicles I just know a little boy that would love them.
