Million Moms Challenge Necklace Giveaway

As one of the community leaders for the Million Moms Challenge, I am learning more about the issues that unite us as mothers.

The goal of the Million Moms Challenge is to focus our collective will on the issues that most affect women and children on this planet:

“By engaging a million Americans with millions of mothers in the developing world around issues that directly impact pregnancy, childbirth and children’s health, the Million Moms Challenge will raise awareness and funds to help women and children everywhere survive and thrive.”

The statistics are sobering: “A woman dies every 90 seconds from complications in pregnancy or childbirth. 90% of deaths are preventable. As many as 3.3 million babies die before they turn even one month old.”

You can find out more about how you can take action on the Million Moms site.

As one of the fundraisers, these lovely necklaces are for sale. $10 of the $25 purchase price will go towards providing hospital transport for a mother, mother-to-child HIV transmission-prevention, inoculating against tetanus, providing nutrients, and supporting community health workers.

When I saw the necklace, I immediately wanted to offer one to my readers.  While I could just donate the money, I am hoping this will encourage you to join the Million Moms movement!  For the first 100,000 visitors who join the movement, Johnson & Johnson will donate $100,000 to the Million Moms Challenge fund.

By joining the Million Moms Challenge Community, you are joining the movement…and building that donation!

Thanks for your post. I would also like to say that the health insurance brokerage also works best for the benefit of the coordinators of your group insurance policy. The health agent is given a directory of benefits looked for by a person or a group coordinator. What a broker really does is search for individuals or coordinators that best complement those requirements. Then he shows his advice and if the two of you agree, the broker formulates legal contract between the 2 parties.

  40. I would also like to add that if you do not surely have an insurance policy or you do not form part of any group insurance, you may well make use of seeking the aid of a health insurance broker. Self-employed or people with medical conditions ordinarily seek the help of any health insurance specialist. Thanks for your article.
