Stylish Bouncy Seat: The BabyBjörn Babysitter Balance

Finally, a bouncy seat that matches all my cool Ikea furniture. I love Swedish design!

The stylish BabyBjörn Babysitter Balance is really more like a designer accessory than a piece of baby gear. The reversible fabric gives you four color schemes in one, and the solidly constructed frame has three positions for baby–play, rest and sleep. There’s also the ability to fold the entire seat flat so you can store it under the bed, the couch, or in the trunk of the car…

Ready, Set, Sleep – A Super-Light and Easy to Set-Up Travel Crib

When my first child was born, I went on a quest for the lightest playard/Travel Crib available. Since then, some new lightweight cribs have come on the market but assembly was a challenge. Now, BabyBjorn has a new entry into the lightweight travel crib category. BabyBjorn Travel Crib Light has a simple “one movement” assembly, making it an innovative new baby gear offering…

Being a mom-to-be in the city is certainly not without its challenges – not the least of which is finding a place to put all that cool urban baby gear that is slowly accumulating in my NY-sized apartment. Blink and You’ll Love It

Not content to just innovate in producing safe, convenient car seats, Britax is turning its engineering genius towards making strollers.

Since I’m a dedicated babywearer, a stroller has to be something special to get me excited about it and I really enjoy the Britax Blink Stroller.

A priority for a compact stroller is its size. At 16 lbs, the Blink is not the lightest weight stroller on the market but it is light enough to carry in the included shoulder bag and offers some design innovations you will not find in other strollers in its price range…

Momma Gotta Have: Miss Gigi-Mae Tether System

The Miss Gigi-Mae Tether System is a Momma Gotta Have. If you’ve ever reached around to grab a toy off the floor of your car while driving or picked your child’s sippy cup off a grimy restaurant floor, you’ll understand the need for this tether system.

This mom-invented product is designed to attach to a carseat, stroller or high chair. Simply attach baby’s toys or sippy cup to the four retractable clips to keep them off the floor and safely in reach. (You can view a demo of this product here. )

Babyproofing experts recommend putting a faucet cover over the bathtub spout to protect your baby’s head from bumps and burns.
When baby got too big to bathe in the sink, I bought the original Boon Flo spout cover ($14.99).  There were cheaper options, but I picked the Boon Flo because it easily accomodated the shower pull and looked more grown up than the popular Elmo and cartoon character faucet covers. With its spring grip, the Flo was easy to attach and remove from my faucet. And the soft rubbery material provides enough …

Today is the first day of fall, and the weather was perfect for a walk with Baby Mwah. I love taking him out for a stroll. It’s a great way for me to stay in shape and for baby to get some fresh air.
Since I love walking so much, I’m not looking forward to winter weather. My friends with toddlers and babies complain about the inconvenience of bundling their tots in multiple layers in order to run errands only to watch them alternatively shiver during the walk and sweat in overheated stores or …

When we started shopping for a convertible toddler car seat, we immediately decided on a Britax–the Britax Marathon.  Britax has some of the best safety ratings and highest weight limits on its comfortable and well-designed seats.
Now we have a new Britax Boulevard CS.  I feel so comfortable knowing it has side-impact protection.  I’m also impressed with its convenience: you can adjust the headrest height without removing the seat. Even better, you just pull to tighten the harness and you’ll hear a click when the belts are at the proper tension.
A …
