I’ve never been a fan of Desperate Housewives, but my mother persuaded me to watch the season premiere with her. For the first time, I could identify with one of the characters. Gabby, the former model, now has two children and a matching frumpy mom-style. Her old frenemy Edie is shocked by her new appearance, leading to this classic exchange: Edie: “So Gabby, I have to ask: What the hell happened to you?
