Stuck on You

I’m not ashamed to admit that I’m a label fanatic. Labels combine my childhood love of stickers and my grown-up obsession with organization.

I own a label-maker, which gets a lot of use in my house. If you’re looking for an inexpensive label, I would definitely use a label-maker. But when you need a label that can stand up to daily use, I.D. Me Labels is a good choice.

Making It Fun To Be Neat

Is your playroom cluttered with blocks, LEGO toys, cars, and trains? While you could spend your precious free time organizing, a better strategy is to inspire your children to clean up their own toys. Purchasing the right storage solutions makes the job easier.

One of my favorite products is the ZipBin, a combination toy and organizational product. ZipBins convert between play mats and storage bins in a zip (sorry…I couldn’t resist the pun)

Momma Gotta Have: Miss Gigi-Mae Tether System

The Miss Gigi-Mae Tether System is a Momma Gotta Have. If you’ve ever reached around to grab a toy off the floor of your car while driving or picked your child’s sippy cup off a grimy restaurant floor, you’ll understand the need for this tether system.

This mom-invented product is designed to attach to a carseat, stroller or high chair. Simply attach baby’s toys or sippy cup to the four retractable clips to keep them off the floor and safely in reach. (You can view a demo of this product here. )

Now that all your presents are unwrapped, give yourself a big present: get organized in 2009!
Keep Track of Your To-Do List:I’m a busy mama, and I keep track of all my appointments, playdates, volunteer commitments and work projects using the 2009 BusyBodyBook Personal & Family Organizer. As a type-A person who actually enjoys organizing things, I’ve tried lots of calendars and planners over the years.
I first discovered the BusyBodyBook in 2007. Its 5 column grid design has made it my favorite. Plus, you can tell it was designed by a mom since Saturday and Sunday have …

There’s a lot that gets stuck to kids, food, mud, random strays, but unfortunately one thing that never seems to stick is the name labels you attach to their stuff.
Mabel’s Labels is here to rescue you and your child’s gear from the lost and found.
Mabel’s Labels have cute icons, are available in a variety of colors, and come in money-saving packs.  The real attraction, though, is these dishwasher-safe and machine washable labels actually work–on clothing, sippy cups, bottles, lunchboxes, school supplies, and pretty much anywhere you can think to stick …

As a busy mom, time-management tools are the key to my sanity. Every year I buy an organizer to keep track of my schedule and hold all my to-do lists.
Last year, I reviewed the BusyBodyBook Organizer. At the time, I was balancing full-time work, multiple volunteer projects and family commitments. The BusyBodyBook  helped me keep everything organized.
Soon after writing that review, I found out I was pregnant. The BusyBodyBook helped me track all my doctor’s appointments, test results, weight gain and everything pregnancy related. Now that I’m a mom, my BusyBodyBook has a dedicated place …

My daughter enjoys drawing, carrying her things in bags, organizing her toys (must have gotten that from Daddy). Doodlebugz offers Crayon Keepers, DoodleBags, Crayon Aprons and Toolbelts, and Crayon Purses and Duffle Bags that allow her to do all three.
These licensed Crayola products, available at Princess Linens, allow your little artist to keep supplies handy so she’s ready to create!
My daughter is especially fond of the DoodleBags ($25.50), which include a drawing pad and crayons on one side and a chalk board and chalk on the other.  On the outside …

My mother still has an entire closet of boardgames. My brother and I spent many happy hours playing them during our childhood, and she’s been saving them for grandchildren. Now that Baby Mwah has arrived, she wants to reclaim her closet space and has given me a deadline for moving the games.
Unfortunately, those flimsy cardboard game boxes have broken and bent.  I love having organized closets, so I’m transferring them to Game Savers before I move them.  These sturdy plastic containers were designed by a mom frustrated with her children’s messy game closet. She saw how the …
