I rarely have time for it, but I really enjoy scrapbooking. A few years ago at a party, I met Kolette Hall. Kolette’s a designer, teacher, self-made businesswoman, and professional scrapbooker…so, of course, I thought she was cool. But what impressed me most was her amazing spirit.

I know that it’s possible to fall in love at first sight because that’s what I felt during my first pre-natal ultrasound. It’s hard to describe how amazing it is to see your baby on that screen moving around, sucking a thumb, etc. Maybe this is the hormones talking, but I felt such a powerful attachment at that moment.
During the early stages of pregnancy, I was so worried about miscarriage that I didn’t allow myself to celebrate or get excited. Until my ultrasound, my pregnancy didn’t feel truly “real.”

Digital scrapbooking is easy-to-do and affordable. Once you learn how to scrapbook, you’ll be able to make great homemade presents on a budget.

One of my latest scrapbooking projects was the Family Tree Kit at ScrapQuick. For $2.49, I got everything I needed to make a 4×6 mini-album. I just dropped in the photos and typed in some journaling quotes. Babyrazzi posted photos of Trista Rehn Sutter’s baby shower. I think it was cool that her guests worked on scrapbook pages for the baby rather than playing traditional baby shower games like melting chocolate bars in diapers.

Mama-to-Be enjoys scrapbooking, but selecting matting, cutting out photos and borders, designing layouts and embellishing pages with buttons, ribbons, brads is time-consuming. Since it can take me hours to finish a single 12″ x 12″ page, only special occasions make it into my scrapbooking album.
