My little boys are high energy; they zoom from one activity to the next without stopping for a breath. My older son loves soccer, which is a wonderful way to keep active, but terrible for keeping his clothes clean. Everything winds up with a grass or mud stain. The clothes that manage to escape the […]

I was challenged to switch to Arm & Hammer Baking Soda and to test new ways of using this versatile product in my home. In a previous post, I discussed how intrigued I was by the possible uses of Arm & Hammer Baking Soda in the nursery. I was challenged to use Arm & Hammer Baking Soda in a new way in the home. There are hundreds of uses, but I was most interested in testing baking soda in the nursery.
Before I had children, I would hand-wash lingerie and other delicate clothing in the sink and then hang it to dry. With a preschooler and a baby in the house, it’s harder to find the time.
The Whirlpool Duet Washer has a hand-wash cycle, which I used for delicate sweaters, blouses, lingerie and silk hosiery. Using the hand-wash cycle saved time and effort, and my items came out looking as good as new.
Did you know that about 90% of the energy in a typical laundry cycle is spent heating the water? As a newlywed, I didn’t care much about my washer and dryer. Oh…how things have changed. In my pre-kid days, I wore lots of dry-clean only clothing to work. I am so excited. In thirty minutes, I completely transformed my bathroom using Muralette Wall Decals. My blah blah boring bathroom is now a fishie-themed wonderland that fascinates my toddler.
Here are pics of my bathroom– which I decorated using Magpie Decorative Painting Muralette Designs. At $85 each, Muralettes are an inexpensive way to decorate a room in under 30 minutes. You can find them online at www.magpiepainting.com.
