Holiday Giveaway- Win a Christmas or Hanukkah Box of Questions from The Box Girls
If you’re looking for a fun way to liven up your holiday dinner, check out The Christmas or Hanukkah Box of Questions from The Box Girls.
Each stylishly-packaged box is packed full of questions to spark conversations with your friends and family. I reviewed the Christmas Box (pictured above) at a Sunday dinner with my family.
All of the questions were family-friendly. Some were fun (“What songs are on Santa’s I-pod this Christmas?”), but others were touching (“What is your earliest Christmas memory?”). I wish I’d had a chance to ask my grandparents some of these questions. The Christmas Box helped us get into the holiday spirit, and I look forward to answering even more questions on Christmas Eve.
The Box Girls products are sold at hip stores like Fred Segal, Kitson, and Saks Fifth Avenue, where celebs like like Demi Moore, Madonna, and Eva Longoria have purchased them.
You can buy them online at www.theboxgirls.com for $19.95, and Mamanista readers can get 20% off by using Coupon Code ISTA20.

My best present, huh? When my husband asked me to marry him. He took me downtown on a horse-drawn carriage ride. He clumsily fumbled around with the ring inside his coat pocket and asked me to marry him in front of the big Christmas tree. <3
The best present I ever got was from my husband on our first Christmas together. We were poor college students at the time so we decided to do “Gifts from the Heart”. He ended up getting all of my family members to write a special letter to me. He compiled them into a beautiful book full of letters and pictures. This book is priceless to me!
My best Christmas present was a diamond tennis bracelet from my mother. I guess because it was from my mother, that is what makes it so special to me. :)
when I was three I got alphie (sp?) and really loved that toy so much!!
My best present was hands-down last year when my son was born…He’s been the best gift ever!

I’m having a hard time with this one because I’ve been given wonderful things in the 29 years I’ve been alive and all from different people some big, some small, but all with different significance and meaning…
My husband took me to Tahiti for our honeymoon…that was a wonderful wedding present.
My son is actually the best “present” I’ve ever received…he is a tremendous blessing
my dad just got me a digital camera to replace the one that had been stolen… it really meant a lot because I love to take pics of my kids and not having a camera for a month really made me notice how they grew.
The best gift by far I’ve ever received is my son! He’s such a blessing. He makes me laugh every single day without even trying!
I don’t remember that a specific gift was the best..but I remember the best year. I was pregnant with our first born and we kind of figured after we started having kids our discretionary income would be gone, so we went all out…we got broadway tickets for each other, a dinner cruise around NYC, all kinds of things like that, half of which were things to do together…we also spread out the holiday..instead of giving each other a gift each for the eight nights, we started early and gave and got every other night…Chanukah lasted half a month that way :). And we were right…we’re expecting our no. 3 now and barely get each other anything anymore!

As a child / teen, my favorite gift was a doll house that my dad made me. He assembled it, painted it, wallpapered the rooms and in general really put alot of love and effort into it. It is my most prized possession now that he is gone. He wasn’t the kind of guy to say ‘I love you’ or give me a hug, but I knew he loved me because he was willing to put so much effort into something for me.

The best present I ever received was a beautiful Emerald ring that my husband bought me. That was when we were dating & it is still my all time favorite piece of jewelry!
Hi, My best gift was the engagement ring on the back of a teddy bear’s
ribbon around its’ neck. It was given to me before Christmas, but close enough! My future husband handed me a bear and I thought, well, okay. Then,I turned it around and their was my engagement ring on its ribbon collar. I cried and cried happy tears. We had dated long distance for 3 years. Now, we have two teenage sons and have been married for almost 22 years. Cindi

I’m subscribed and linked to you! My best gift was… that’s so hard! I love all of my electronic gifts. But, the one with the most meaning was probably a ring my husband gave me, white gold with a beautiful saphire, my birthstone.
This is going to sound corny, but my best present I’ve ever received is my family and the love they give me. :) Yeah – I know – I’m being mushy and sentimental. Sniff. :)
My best present, wow. It was one that changed my life.
When I was in seventh grade, I went to a very small school where the elementary school was next door to the high school, and the Highschool was 7-12 grade, all in one building. Everyone rode the same buses, as well. There was a boy on my bus, he was in fifth grade, he had the same last name as me, but we weren’t related. I had just moved to this town that year, and being overweight, and very poor, I didn’t have many friends. This little boy, Tommy, was handicapped. Kids picked on him and made fun of him so badly. I think he may have had autism. He didn’t talk much, but he smiled all the time. I would say hi to him when I got on the bus, and he’d always smile. He had several brothers and sisters, and they all lived with their grandma in a house that was a converted poultry farm house, it used to house chickens! Well, they were even more impoverished than us, having such a big family. I felt so bad for him because everyone picked on him, made fun of him for his disabilities. So, just before Christmas I took the money I had been saving up, and I bought him a Yellow Care Bear, and a cheap pair of gloves. I wrapped it up and took it to school. I waited till the ride home to give it to him, because I was afraid someone would take it at school and destroy it. I gave him the gift, on the bus, and I was really shy about it, afraid people would laugh at me. But, Tommy opened up that box, and his face lit up, he had tears in his eyes, and he hugged that bear up to his cheek all the way home. I cried, and cried and cried, geez, I’m crying now. I don’t remember what I got that year, but nothing was as valuable as the joy in that child’s face, because someone reached out to him, and showed him a little love. My family is still well below the poverty level, but I still try to seek out someone to gift something to, and not just at Christmas. Sometimes what people need the most is just to know that someone thought of them, that THEY are IMPORTANT to somebody.
I hope that each one of you has a Tommy in your life somewhere. If not, I hope that you will seek out one, and bless them with such a gift, it isn’t the cost, after all, it’s truly the thought that counts.
Merry Christmas everyone!
The best present that I have ever received? Hugs every morning from our children…I like the daily gifts of love the best.
Have a beautiful day,
Lesley
This sounds really cool! I celebrate both holidays but would want the Christmas one if I won. My best present was this lego type dream house that I got as a child. It was really cool.
The best Christmas pretent I ever got was my engagement ring and proposal last Christmas :) . He took my Grandmother’s ring (I am VERY close to my Gramma) and got it fixed and cleaned and used that one, I LOVED it!
I also have to say to Gabbygatorsmom… I had tears in MY eyes reading that, very moving story!
