I tried out a classic black maternity top and dress from Boob, in a super-soft cotton jersey material. With Boob, it is all in the details. Higher cut tops can make me look a little blocky, especially when I’m pregnant. But boob has some clever tricks to flatter my figure in a more modest way than plunging necklines. The shirring in the front of the top ads interest and then the top is stitched in back just below the bust to create shape–a more attractive and dressier alternative to the plain black t-shirt.

I remember being in the Sears photo studio getting our first baby’s picture made. My husband and I looked down at the exact same instant, and saw one of my cloth nursing pads on the floor. I walked as fast as I could to the car, where I laughed (out of utter humiliation) until the session was over.
As a continuation to my comment, I’ve been “feeling” pregnant lately, and can’t remember my last period.
I just took a test.
It was positive before I stopped going on it.

Boob’s nursing dresses are fantastic! Elegant and comfortable and incredibly functional. I have the short sleeve dress and the strap dress and am hoping for what looks like a turtleneck dress in the fall line. Can’t wait to be ab le to order the next season’s dresses. These are great because they are NOT maternity dresses. My daughter is a year old and I expect to nurse for at least another year – I don’t need all the extra room or ruching of a maternity dress – I just want to look great and yet give my daughter easy access to, yes, my boobs! I really like the nursing line. All of the tops are very discrete. I really like that. I had some nursing tops with my last child and felt like everyone could see the slats, so I didn’t wear them much.
