There are some things you can cut back on–we can buy fewer toys, take fewer vacations, and wear our clothes for at least one more season. But food is an essential. So it is nice to see that Kroger is making it easier for shoppers to save.
Even better, because juggling several kids at the supermarket is difficult enough, they are making it really easy.
Here are a few of their new services that I find really helpful as a busy mom.
Load Coupons Directly to your Shopping Card: This is my favorite one. I can never remember my coupons. Use these services and during checkout coupons are automatically redeemed when your Kroger Card is scanned.
- Shortcuts (a service of AOL, in partnership with Kroger) allows customers to download coupons directly to their Kroger Plus Card.
- P&G eSaver allows customers to download P&G coupons directly to your Kroger Plus Card?
Rewards: We don’t always manage to use our miles before they expire, but discounted fuel and free groceries we can always use:
- Fuel Rewards: Accumulate and redeem fuel discounts you earn by shopping at Kroger-owned stores at participating gas stations–a minimum of 10 cents off per gallon of gas for every $100 they spend in a store.
- 1-2-3 Rewards MasterCard: Sign up for a 1-2-3 Rewards MasterCard and earn free groceries when you shop.
Save on Prescriptions: Kroger Pharmacies offer a 30-day supply of more than 300 prescriptions for only $4, or 90-day supplies for only $10. Download a complete list of eligible medications and check to see if your local pharmacy participates.

Kroger is my favorite place to shop because we save money on gas by buying our groceries there. Usually 10 cents per gallon. Also, because my husband is over 55 they offer a “Senior” Plus Card that saves us an extra 10% off of Kroger brands. We didn’t know about it until someone told us but you have to actually go to the service desk and ask for this card.
I love to save by pre-loading coupons on to my Plus card from the Kroger site…and they have “mykroger.com” that is specialized to my store & preferences!

We go to Kroger when we go on vacation, since they unfortunately don’t have them here in our part of the country. I am always happy at the savings I get because we take my mom, a senior citizen, and they give her a discount, she has a Kroger Senior card.

The renovated and updated Krogers are the absolute best, mine even has a Starbucks inside.
T love to go to Kroger because of the policy of double and triple coupons. It is a great way to stretch your grocery dollar.
Kroger is a very pleasant store to shop in. The atmosphere is calming and easy to find the products you need as you walk down the aisles.

I love Krogers and we have one right down the street. I preload my coupons right on my card. I like that they have printable coupons on their site. My favorite way to save is to buy Kroger brands. Their brands are as good or better then name brands and the prices are usually much less. I especially love their cottage cheese and yogurt.

Kroger’s is my store, fast, friendly and great service. My store doubles the coupons up to 50 cents and that is a big help, I also like alot of their store brand better then the brand.

Ok so I’m totally obsessed with Krogers. They save me bundles. I not only load the P&G coupons on my Kroger card I use about 15 clipped coupons each visit that saves me upward $30/wk AND your clipped coupon combines with the loaded P&G ones. My local Kroger triples up to .50!! I use only their gas..yeah big saver. AND my I use their gift card that through my kids church program provided me with that gives 5% back to the church for using the card!! yeah that’s a lot of savings…and I’m sure I left out something

This is more of a Special Occasion savings, I guess, but I love that Kroger has an on-line Special Order Center thaat offers thousands of hard to find food and specialty items. I can search and order online and have my selections shipped right to your home. I really enjoy making up baskets of special food items for Christmas gifts and this is much easier (and less expensive) than running all over looking for things.

I love our Fred Meyer Kroger store. I have two tips- Fred’s has a great cheese & deli meat section- save a few bucks by slicing your own cheese, meat, and fruit instead of paying for a platter to be fixed for you.
Store brands on canned veggies,and buy bulk nuts and spices.

i love that they have great deals and you can double your coupons.
I love coupons. If I keep them organized, when hubby goes shopping (he likes to cook, so he mostly shops)he will use coupons. Once he saved $30 off our grocery bill. I hear that you can go online, click the coupons you want and they “load” on your Kroger membership card and when you scan your card at the checkout, it takes off your bill all the coupons you clicked on. I haven’t tried that yet, but I will.

The best way to save with kroger is with their Plus card. You can preload your coupons on there and you can use it to get gas rewards.
I buy most of what I need for the next month on the first Wednesday of every month for their senior discount day.
we save on our groceries and donate to our local church when we use our Kroger card. I load up our coupons and clip others as well – triple and double the value rocks. We also love the Kroger brand of most items – it’s usually better than name brand and much easier on our wallets. :D I only wish we could use the gas rewards here in TX…Oh, and I have our Kroger card linked to our U Promise account for an even bigger bonus – saving money toward college for us and our kiddos. We <3 Kroger!!

Krogers is my favorite place to get groceries…close to home and great produce. This prize would be very helpful.
They have a great selection and Krogers is the best place to buy my beef, pork and other meats…very fresh and custom cut if I need it.
Ralphs is the closest store to us (owned by Kroger) and they have a Wamu inside as well as a great pharmacy with the $4 perscriptions. By doing it all in one place and their new rewards program we save quite a bit of money.

One of my favorite things about Kroger is that they send their regular customers coupons that are personalized to them and the items they buy most often — I’m not a regular coupon clipper, but getting these coupons through the mail or email is a great way for me to save quite a bit on my favorite purchases.

Kroger is very big in Lexington, KY. They had a neat promotion where their gift cards bought an additional 10-15% off. Combine that savings with coupons and senior discount and you’re doing much better. I wish they would bring back that promotion.
