Laundry Help

Posted by Debbie on Dec 3, 2008 | 17 Comments

Between the spit-up, the diaper blow outs and the baby food, it is difficult to keep baby’s clothing stain-free.

Some of my friends tell me not to bother with stains since babies outgrow their clothing so quickly. But (aside from being type A) I’m a naturally thrifty person, so I don’t view baby clothing as disposable. I want to keep my son’s clothing looking as new as possible since I plan to either use it for our next baby, give it to a friend, or donate it to charity. So I’m always on the lookout for products that remove tough stains without fading colors.

I recently received a free sample of Clorox 2 Stain Fighter and Color Booster as part of a MomCentral blog tour. (Since I prefer to use dye and perfume-free laundry detergent, I used the Clorox 2 Free Stain Fighter and Color Booster rather than the regular Clorox 2 formula.) I used the Clorox 2 to pre-treat four different  stains (baby formula, carrots, prunes, and diaper blowout). I just poured some on the stains, waited a few minutes and tossed the clothing in the wash. All the stains came out, and the color didn’t fade. I also added some Clorox 2 into the laundry along with my regular detergent, and the blankets and bibs looked noticeably brighter.

If you want to try the product yourself, Clorox is offering a money-back guarantee: “lose the stains, keep the color or your money back.” You can find details on the guarantee at www.daretobecolorful.com.

I also have four coupons for a free bottle of Clorox 2 to give to readers. If you want to enter, just leave a comment on this post by 11:59pmEST on December 10, 2008 letting us know you’re interested.

Well I’d love to try this. I have an 8 month old, so we use Baby All, and it doesn’t get out her baby food stains and blowouts. So frustrating!

I LUV to add some clorox free & clear into the boys’ wash to help fight stains that I may have missed in spot-treating and to keep everything bright. This is a great giveaway, and a very useful one to boot!
