The taste of an authentic Italian meal from a microwave? Barilla Microwaveable Meals pass this Italian’s test!

I am half Italian, and for many of you, you know how discriminating our tastes can be when it comes to Italian cuisine. I am a wife, Mom, full-time working-woman on the go and I rarely have time to whip up a culinary masterpiece for my work-time lunches. When I received Barilla Microwaveable Meals to try, I thought this would be a great opportunity to take my lunch up a few notches on both the taste and nutrition scales.  The Barilla Microwaveable Meals use 100% natural ingredients and are low in calories (only 320 calories per meal).

I packed a healthy salad and a Barilla Whole Grain Fusilli (one of two whole grain pasta options) and headed off on my hectic day. When lunch time rolled around, it felt great to be actually anticipating a meal, rather than scrounging around for whatever happened to be in the little fridge and even smaller freezer in my office. It was delicious and filling and I will definitely be stocking up on these to keep at work and home!
