I cannot tell you how many times our local CVS Minute Clinic has come through for me in a pinch. It’s such an invaluable resource when I literally have ZERO time to get in for a doctor’s appointment. I’ve had everything from bronchitis, sinus and ear infections diagnosed and treated there, to getting the all-important […]
That perfect, warm sensation when they first placed my newborn daughter on my chest and she was the exact same temperature as me…I can still feel it. She had just been born but it seemed for a few more minutes that she was still part of me. I never wanted that moment to end. We […]
Have you taken the Food List Challenge on Facebook? I’ve tried 83 of the 100 foods on the list. Given the opportunity, I would likely try all 100. Why? My parents always encouraged me to try new things. As a child and teen, I accompanied them on trips around the world– learning about history, art, language, culture and trying new foods. Most babies get their first teeth by six months, but teething can begin as early as three months. Both of my boys were early teethers. Here’s a photo of my youngest at four months old that shows his first two teeth and a third about to break through. It can be difficult to get your […]
Now that kids are back to school and life is in full force it’s totally time to get down to business with the meals. I try as hard as possible to keep my son healthy, especially since I grew up battling the bulge. It’s not always an easy task to get your kids to really and truly understand the value of health and eating well! And if your house is like mine, you’re always fighting the food fits. I’ve learned a few lessons along the way and would love to share my tips with you! Remember..I’m not a doctor or dietitian.
Finding a teether that works can seem elusive because your baby’s preference will change as he progresses through different teething stages. I spent a lot of money testing different teethers when I was a new mom only to find my baby didn’t like most of them. With my second, I was fortunate enough to receive a complete set of MAM Teethers.
