Fall is actually one of my favorite times of year to travel. My friends at TravelingMom.com have created a beautiful and FREE ezine listing some of the best fall getaways for families. If you’re looking for vacation inspiration or even just a few day-trip ideas, you’ll enjoy their suggestions. I’ve actually taken several of the trips […]
My family spent the 4th of July in Atlantic City as guests of the Atlantic City Alliance. Before our trip, I wrote about how Atlantic City is working to transform its image, and I was not disappointed by the spectacular new Duality show at Boardwalk Hall.
“This summer, journey to the Bronx Zoo’s Wild Forest to check out giant LEGO sculptures of tigers, flamingos, gorillas, and other exotic wildlife, then visit their real-life counterparts around the zoo. Build your own LEGO sculptures at our construction zone, and enjoy Wildlife Theater performances and the hit musical puppet show, Avenue Zoo.”
Remember when Times Square in New York was sleazy, crime-ridden and full of prostitutes and porn shops? Times Square is now a model of urban revitalization, and Atlantic City is undergoing a similar transformation with new resorts like Revel and a brand-new Boardwalk light and sound show.

Everyone’s favorite mouse invited us on a preview cruise aboard the Disney Fantasy Cruise Ship.
Before our most recent two trips to Disney, my husband and I would not have pegged ourselves for the Disney demographic. Sure, we have three kids, five and under. As an only child, I grew up in a lovely home with two bedrooms.
When we visit my parents with our mini tribe of three, there’s plenty of love…but a shortage of places to sleep. No problem! We brought along the Tuck-Me-In Travel Bed from Leaps and Bounds.
I really love my Kindle but it’s not waterproof so I’ve been wary of taking it to the beach, pool, or bathtub – some of my favorite places to relax and read. Recently M-Edge sent me their Kindle Leisure Jacket: a padded case that completely encloses the Kindle while still allowing you to read and type through its clear vinyl screen. With this splashproof protection I’m much more comfortable taking out my Kindle around water!
We are big Thomas the Tank Engine fans in our house. When we originally heard that he would be making an appearance at The Strasburg Railroad, a local historical railroad station and museum, we knew we had to be there.
